Q. Why do I need an electrical license?

Q. Do I need a high school diploma to take the electrical exam?

A. While some testing authorities require a high school diploma, many do not. Q. If my city or state offers more than one electrical licensing exam, which exam should I take?

Q. How can I determine if I’ve met the experience requirements to take the electrical licensing exam?

A. First, decide which examination will give you the license you want, then check with the licensing authority to determine what the experience requirements are to take that exam.

Q. Can I qualify to take an electrical examination even if my field experience is primarily in a related field like general contracting, Hvac, communication, sign or private alarm installation?

A. Testing authorities that administer the electrical exam in the city or state of your choice will provide you with an application with instructions for registering to take the electrical exam. You are required to register for and take examinations administered by the authorized testing authority in the city or state of your choice.

Q. How is the seminar material presented?

A. You can attend our seminars from the convenience of your home or office. You will have real time online access to our knowledgeable, experienced and patient instructors as you learn how to answer the electrical exam questions you’ll need to know to pass your exam. You will need a computer with internet access, a calculator with a square-root button, and the edition of the code book on which your exam is based.
